New fully hydraulic TMT Drilling Machines and Clay Guns, Tilting Runner Drives and Jack Dam Drilling Machines for BF B at ArcelorMittal Gent, Belgium
ArcelorMittal Belgium has successfully carried out the blow-in of the newly relined BF B in Gent on 1st of March 2021. As part of the Blast Furnace reline, several process optimisations by implementing state of the art technologies will result in a reduction of the plant’s CO2 emissions and meeting climate-related objectives. TMT is proud of having been part of this project, by supplying new state of the art tapping equipment, including fully hydraulic Drilling Machines and Clay Guns, as well as Tilting Runner Drives and Jack Dam Drilling Machines.
The new TMT equipment will play a big role in increasing the safety and efficiency of the Casthouse operations for the complete new campaign life of AM Gent Blast Furnace B.
