Successful Factory Acceptance Test of New TMT Tapping Equipment for ERAMET NORWAY in Porsgrunn, Norway

After a very good and constructive project handling the new TMT tapping technology, consisting of 1 fully hydraulic drilling machine serving 2 tapholes including rod changer and 2 hydraulic mud guns, could now be successfully approved in a factory acceptance test in Siegen.

Due to COVID 19 pandemic ERAMET could not take part personally as originally planned, so was connected online and able to supervise the acceptance digitally.

TMT thanks ERAMET for the excellent cooperation in this project by which the common challenge of the tight schedule could be successfully met.

Commissioning will start immediately after arrival of the new equipment in Porsgrunn at the beginning of June 2021. TMT will delegate own service personnel for supervision of erection, operation and commissioning and training of operating personnel. Hot commissioning of furnace 11 is schedule for July 2021 already.
