Restart of ArcelorMittal’s Zenica
The Blast Furnace at ArcelorMittal’s Zenica plant in Bosnia was successfully restarted and hot metal production resumed after a ‘comprehensive rebuilding’ including refurbishment of TMT casthouse equipment.
TMT signed a contract for the project end of 2017 as part of a modernisation programme including overhaul of 2 TMT Clay Guns, 1 TMT Central Taphole Drill and Hydraulic System and managed the extensive requirements within a very tight time schedule.
After furnace stop and blow down in spring 2018 the technically demanding job with a wide range of technical and safety challenges could be fully completed as contractually agreed.
In the presence of the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and 200 invited guests this important event was solemnly celebrated at Arcelor Mittal Zenica.
We are thankful and proud for the ongoing trust ArcelorMittal places in TMT by allowing us to be their key partner for Tapping and Measuring.
